Bletchley Park & The Chilterns - Bunkhouse near Tring, Herts
27th - 29th July

UPDATE: Walk on Saturday followed by a BBQ at the Bunkhouse. Bletchley Park Visit on the Sunday.
The long awaited visit to Bletchley Park coupled with a walk in the Chilterns. Unfortunately there are only 16 places (8 + 8), available in this cheap National Trust bunkhouse set in a wooded location close to many national trails and only 20 miles from The Park.
We have sole use of this venue until 4:30 Sunday. Dogs are welcome.
Excellent cooking, dining and relaxing facilities in a separate building from the sleeping area. Great for those who want to stay up and those who want to sleep undisturbed. Unfortunately the toilets and showers are also in the block separated from Dorm, but it will be July! Please note: mattresses and covers are provided but sleeping bags and pillows will be required; the showers are not available between 11am and 3pm. There is no mobile signal in the bunkhouse but you should find some with a short walk into the nearby woods. Room for 20 cars parking on site.
The pretty Hertfordshire village of Aldbury is about a mile away with pubs and local shops. Also a short drive away are Tring, Wendover, Dunstable, Hemel Hempstead... with good eating and many pubs.
We will drive to Bletchley Park on Saturday morning, spend the day there. Lunch at the park and probably have a meal in Bletchley or on way the way back. Either myself or someone will lead a walk in The Chilterns on Sunday as several well known trails can be accessed directly from the bunkhouse.
Please contact Boh ASAP as this is likely to prove a popular weekend and places are limited.
