Meet at Maiden Street, Syston and from 9:30 walk the nearby Grand Union Canal to Leicester North Station (Birstall)and travel on the steam train to Loughborough Central Station (ticket price TBA.) Continue walking the canal back to Syston - about twelve miles in all. Various chances of refreshment on route.
